I recently read A New Kind of Christianity: Ten Questions That Are Transforming the Faith, by Brian McLaren. I received my copy from The Ooze's Viral Bloggers Network, and I am working on a review that should be up in the next couple of days. In the meantime, TheOoze.tv has begun posting a series of videos featuring Spencer Burke interviewing McLaren about the major ideas in the book. I'm posting the first 2 here. If you have time, watch them and let me know your thoughts/reactions. I'm really interested in knowing what you think.

I haven't read the book, so I'm hesitant to say anything about one snipped made without context. My initial response, given a general familiarity with McLaren and company, is that the book should be titled An Old Kind of Christianity: Ten Questions That Should Have Always Shaped Faith or A Previously Underpublished Kind of Christianity: Ten Questions Lots of People Have Talked About But Most Congregations Have Never Considered. Feeling just a little snarky at the moment. Hope no one minds. Cheers.

Watched the videos, left me wanting to read the book. I think I will order it soon. Seems to me that this flows logically from some of his earlier work. Liked Greg's comments about it...
